WorldCom is seeking a new CEO to replace present CEO John Sidgemore who is to step down.

Meanwhile, there has been some criticism about the severance package for former CEO Bernard Ebbers, which included $1.5m (€1.54m) a year for life and a $408m (€418m) loan.
