Becks' boys fashion range

A new range of clothes for boys, created with the help of David Beckham, is being launched by Marks & Spencer.

The England captain has been closely involved in the design of the new collection.

Beckham will attend the collection's launch on September 19 in Manchester.

When the link-up was announced in February, the Man United star said:

"I want to help create the kind of clothes which I would have wanted to wear when I was younger."

Marks & Spencer created a new company - called the Zip Project Ltd - dedicated to designing and supplying their revamped childrenswear collection.

Beckham's involvement was thought to be limited to a range of casual clothing for six to 14-year-olds, which includes tops, trousers, and accessories.

An M&S spokesman said: "David Beckham is the perfect icon for this boyswear range."

"Not only is he the number one sporting hero but he is also a great style icon and role model - we are thrilled to have him on board," he added.

The company declined to say how much the deal with Beckham would be worth.
