Enron settlement with employee groups approved

A settlement between Enron Corp and employee-related groups was approved by the US Bankruptcy Court, according to a statement issued by one of the groups, the Enron Employee Committee.

The settlement involves the Enron Employment-Related Issues Committee, the AFL-CIO, and the Rainbow Push Coalition with Enron, according to the statement.

"The settlement provides for additional severance pay for eligible severed Enron employees, and authorises the Employee Committee to investigate and potentially recover sizable bonuses paid to select Enron employees prior to the company's filing for bankruptcy in Dec, 2001," the statement said.
