BNFL may take over troubled nuclear group

Troubled nuclear power group British Energy today confirmed it was continuing talks with British Nuclear Fuels (BNFL) to operate the firm’s Magnox reactors.

The move is seen as providing short-term relief to the ailing firm, which has been hit by the sharp drop in electricity prices.
