DreamWorks SKG has secured $1.5bn (€1.5bn) of new financing that will allow it to increase live-action film production and add another computer-generated animation unit, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing the company.

DreamWorks SKG has secured $1.5bn (€1.5bn) of new financing that will allow it to increase live-action film production and add another computer-generated animation unit, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing the company.

Those plans do not preclude certain other types of deals to add heft to its record company and film library. In the past year, it has held unsuccessful talks with EMI Group PLC and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc about such deals.
