The FTSE 100 Index is up 76.4 to 4445.3 at lunchtime, and looks on course for its highest close for six weeks.

British Airways is one of the biggest risers, up 6% or 9p at 159p after strong figures from affiliate Qantas - which said international operations had picked up strongly in the second half.
