Liberty Media still interested in Deutsche Telekom cable ops
Liberty Media Corp is still interested in bidding for Deutsche Telekom AG's six regional cable businesses, said the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, citing the US company's chief executive Robert Bennett.
Liberty Media's €5.5bn acquisition of the cable businesses last year was blocked by the German cartel office.
"We are currently looking at the systems together with other possible bidders," said Bennett in a tele-conference.
"It is possible, that we will return, but as part of a consortium and with another bid," he added.
Saturday's paper said the actual bids for the cable businesses are at €2-3bn.
In July, Deutsche Telekom said it has selected five international consortia to take part in the second round of bidding for its remaining regional cable businesses.
