Amsterdam shares close higher

Share prices reversed afternoon losses to close higher on early Wall Street gains as investors sought direction ahead of the monetary policy decision from the Federal Open Market Committee later today, dealers said.

The AEX index closed up 5.15 points at 357.44, after opening at 354.92 and touching an afternoon low of 345.77 at 2.19 pm.
