Carphone Warehouse posts strong growth in sales
Mobile phone retailer, Carphone Warehouse (CPW.L) has announced that revenues from its stores are up 10.6 percent, from the previous quarter. Margins from the same quarter are also up 9.2 percent.
The company has said that much of these sales comes from its continued expansion around Europe. Customer numbers during the period rose by 23.9 percent.
The CEO Charles Dunstone said that the company's results shows that the mobile phone market is beginning to stabilise and that Carphone Warehouse continues to outperform the market.
Carphone Warehouse's positive news follows similar news from Vodafone, mmO2 and Orange in the past month.
