The IDC report ranks the top 15 IT education and training companies worldwide, based on revenue. The report shows that SmartForce's 55 percent growth rate between 2000 and 2001 was the highest among the all the companies ranked on the list.
Commenting on his company's inclusion in the list, Greg Priest, CEO of SmartForce said, "We are delighted that IDC recognises the industry-leading success we had in 2001.
While the environment has proved challenging, for us and others, so far this year, e-Learning has proven to deliver significant, concrete value to global enterprises."
SmartForce recently merged with US based SkillSoft and recently announced a 33 percent drop in its revenue for Q2, 2002. The company has also sparked speculation about Jobs cuts in its Irish workforce as a result of the merger.
