Commercial dispute mediation centre opens

A new arbitration service to help resolve disputes between consumers and European companies has been launched.

The European Consumer Centre's established clearing houses will mediate in such cases before they become costly legal rows.

Mary Denise Fitzgerald of the ECC said it will also save consumers the expense of travelling abroad to enter into litigation.
