ESAT connects to international network

ESAT Group has announced that it is to connect to the international network of its parent company BT, making it the first Irish company to offer seamless wholly owned global service.

The connection means that ESAT can now offer International Private Leased Circuits (IPLC's), ATM and Frame Relay nationwide, including Northern Ireland, allowing corporate customers access to over 200 additional BT Points of Presence (PoP) across the globe.

The company has also said that it will offer bill, contract and Service Level Agreements to its corporate clientele.

"Corporate customers finally have a true end-to-end service for their voice and data needs which comes with the added business advantage of substantial price reductions", said Bill Murphy, CEO, ESAT Group.

ESAT Group was acquired by BT in 2001 and since then has seen its number of customers continue to grow. The company currently has 16,000 corporate clients including Dell and Bank of Ireland.
