mmO2 to offer MMS
Mobile network operator, mmO2 (OOM.L) has announced that it is set to deliver multi media messaging service in the markets in which it operates across Europe. The company has also announced that Nokia is its preferred choice of partner to supply the handsets for this service.
MMS allows users the ability to send and receive pictures, animation, text with sound and audio and visual clips. The company is hoping that MMS will prove to be as popular as SMS (short messaging service). The service is to be made available in tariff options; a pay-as-you-use basis and as a flat rate bundle and is set to cost around 30p a message.
