HP wins contract in Northern Ireland

Director of Information Systems for the DHSSPS announced recently that Compaq, now part of the new Hewlett-Packard has won a substantial share of a £14.5m (€22.6m) contract to supply computer servers and services to the Health and Personal Social Services Sector in Northern Ireland.

Director of Information Systems for the DHSSPS announced recently that Compaq, now part of the new Hewlett-Packard has won a substantial share of a £14.5m (€22.6m) contract to supply computer servers and services to the Health and Personal Social Services Sector in Northern Ireland.

HP is one of two locally represented companies chosen to supply the products and services over a five year period. The contract involves replacing a large number of small computers with larger, more efficient servers.
