Wireless technology company 2PM Technologies has announced new funding of €760,000 from Enterprise Ireland, provided towards the creation of 40 new high tech jobs in the Development Zone around Athlone in the Midlands.

Wireless technology company 2PM Technologies has announced new funding of €760,000 from Enterprise Ireland, provided towards the creation of 40 new high tech jobs in the Development Zone around Athlone in the Midlands.

The new jobs will be located at 2PM's company headquarters in Athlone and will be a mixture of technical, customer service and marketing. The new positions will be created during the coming 12 months.

In December, 2001, 2PM received funding of €3.3m from ICC Ventures, valuing the company at €16.5m.

2PM is a developer and publisher of communications software applications in the mobile/wireless sector.

The company's Managing Director commented " We've recently signed an agreement in the UK with BT Wholesale, which is now effectively a large-scale distributor for our first product Remote Access Mobile System (RAMS). We're also engaged in the development of many other exciting new mobile applications."

Also, the company holds a Value Added Reseller Licence in the UK, awarded by Oftel.
