Government approves USIT takeover

The Government has approved the proposed takeover of USIT by the world’s largest student travel organisation, STA.

The takeover was approved today after the Competition Authority recommended the deal.

USIT, the main student travel specialist in Ireland, suffered significantly following the aviation crisis sparked by last year’s attacks in New York and Washington.
