Data Electronics Group acquire Inflow Ireland

Data Electronics Group, the indigenous carrier provider of Colocation, Hosting and Managed Services in Ireland has announced that it has acquired Inflow Ireland.

This strategic acquisition includes Inflow's Dublin data centre, which costs approximately $15.8m (€17.36m) to build and the right to license FlowTrack, an enterprise data centre management software suite that automates the delivery of complex hosting services from a centralised Network Operations Centre.

Inflow opened its Dublin operation in March 2001.

The newly enlarged Data Electronics Group will support the operation of existing customers based at the facility.

The enhanced managed services capability will permit the company to expand its customer base significantly, which is in line with the company's acquisition strategy.

This is the second purchase of operations since the company purchased the assets of the Wolfe Group in December 2001.

Established in 1976, Data Electronics Group is Ireland's premier provider of carrier independent colocation, hosting and managed services.

The group currently has eight centres operational throughout Ireland and has a 120,000 sq ft capacity data centre in North West Dublin.
