Microsoft buys Navision

Microsoft has confirmed that it's going to buy Europe's fifth largest software company Navision from Denmark.

The deal is valued at $1.3bn (€1.42bn) and stands for the latest stage of rationalisation in Europe's highly fragmented software industry.

With this move Microsoft tries to expand the usage of its software among SME's and tries to lower its dependence on Windows and Office products.
