Buytel changes name

Buytel has officially changed its name to Voicevault.

The company specialises in voice verification and provides a range of business solutions using its patented Voicevault technology.

Earlier this month, Voicevault has been awarded the first BS 7799 / IS 17799 certificate issued in Ireland.

By gaining this certification Voicevault has demonstrated that it is compliant with international standards and best practices in information security management.

These standards address the problem of information security.

They set out the requirements and best practices in all areas within a business that combine to provide an information security management system.

In May 2001, Buytel raised a total of €18m in funding, made up of €15m in the second-round funding leg by Accenture and an additional €3m in investment funding from Digital Capital AG.

The funding was arranged by Goodbody Corporate Finance.
