Parthus Technologies launches wireless LAN platform

Parthus has announced the launch of In8Stream, an 802.11 multi-mode wireless local area network [WLAN] platform.

In8Stream targets the entire range of IEEE 802.11 WLAN standards through one flexible architecture and is based up PacketGenie technology from Telematix.

Irish company Parthus is a provider of platform-level intellectual property targeting the mobile internet. Telematix Corporation is a provider of multi-protocol wireless networking technology.

At the same time as the launch of In8Stream, Parthus and Telematix have announced a strategic partnership to develop and market wireless networking intellectual property for the 802.11 WLAN market.

The leveraging of Telematrix's packet processing technology, PacketGenie, enables the reduction of the chip size and power dissipation of 802.11 Integrated Circuits.

As part of the partnership, Parthus will exploit Telematix' packet processing technology, called PacketGenie, which has been optimised for IEEE 802.11 multi-protocol wireless networking applications.
