Chief Executive resigns from Esat Group

Richard Cooke has resigned as Chief Executive of the Esat Group.

Esat is now owned by BT Ignite [In 2001 British Telecom was split in two.

From the split came the mobile operator mm02 and the remainder became BT Ignite].

Mr Cooke's contract was up at the end of March and BT Ignite is looking for a permanent successor.

In the meantime, Bill Murphy,who runs human resources group e-peopleserve, will be acting CEO.
