Ulster Television has announced its intention to acquire Limerick’s Live 95FM radio station.

Ulster Television has announced its intention to acquire Limerick’s Live 95FM radio station.

The acquisition, valued at just less than €16m, is subject to approval by the Broadcasting Commission.

Live 95FM began broadcasting in 1997 and has built up a market share of 38% and a listenership of 90,000 each weekday.

UTV already owns Cork 96FM and 103FM.
