The S1 Corporation, which provides global enterprise eFinance solutions, has announced that it has acquired Dublin-based Point Information Systems.
The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Point is a supplier of customer relationship management applications, providing sales, service and campaign management solutions to many of the world's largest insurance and banking companies as well as telecommunications companies and retailers.
It has around 100 employees and over 70 customers, primarily in Europe and Asia.
S1 is acquiring Point to strengthen its multi-channel enterprise solutions with Point's call centre applications.
It also wants to extend its insurance product family and customer base.
Headquartered in Atlanta, S1 Corporation is a provider of infrastructure solutions for financial organisations with 21 offices in 11 countries.
