IONA and Metrowerks announce alliance

IONA has announced an alliance with Metrowerks to bring web service integration capabilities to the wireless application development market.

Under the terms of the alliance, Metrowerks will bundle technology from the Orbix E2A Web Services integration platform XMLBus edition into its J2ME development toolset, CodeWarrior Wireless Studio.

Metrowerks headquarters is in Austin, Texas.

The company creates CodeWarrior software and hardware products and services for developers, particularly in areas of consumer electronics, transportation, wireless and in networking and communications.
