2PM and BT Wholesale agree deal

Irish technology company 2PM Technologies and BT Wholesale have signed a revenue-share agreement, under which BT Wholesale will promote, distribute and resell to its UK customer base 2PM's new mobile application, Remote Access Mobile System [RAMS].

It is the first time that BT Wholesale has signed such an agreement with any external application developer, and represents a significant departure from a typical licensing agreement. Revenues will accrue to 2PM Technologies and BT Wholesale from usage charges levied on end-users of RAMS. End-users can range from private individuals to corporates.

Under the agreement, 2PM Technologies is also developing a number of other mobile/wireless applications for BT Wholesale. RAMS, an e-mail as voicemail mobile application, launched in January 2002, enables people out of their office to use their mobile phone to send, receive, forward, delete and manage their e-mail with corporate levels of security.

2PM founded in 1999, is headquartered in Athlone and is a developer and publisher of communications software applications in the mobile/wireless sector.
