New York selects Digital Earth System's service for trial

The City of New York Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications [DOITT] will trial Digital Earth Systems' Geomode wireless location positioning software with the City's public safety and emergency services.

The purpose of the trial is to test the capabilities of Geomode in pinpointing the position of wireless cell phones and Personal Digital Assistants [PDAs] under emergency conditions.
