NRA gets €1bn for roads construction

€1bn will be ploughed into the construction of national roads this year.

The National Roads Authority says the money puts it on a firm footing to deliver a roads system on a par with mainland Europe.

They’re also reporting very good progress in efforts to get major Irish and foreign construction companies involved in the public-private partnership.

Michael Egan of the NRA says all the main projects are on schedule.
