Ardagh Glass closes: 375 Dublin jobs go

The glass manufacturer Ardagh Glass has announced it’s to close its Dublin plant with the loss of 375 jobs.

The company says failure to secure improvements to work practices at the plant in Ringsend is to blame for the closure.

The shut-down is expected to be completed by June.

The announcement comes on the day figures show the economy is in continuous slowdown.
