Opennet wins US deal

Openet Telecom has announced that Rural Cellular Corporation [RCC] will deploy Openet's FusionWorks Wireless convergent mediation platform.

FusionWorks will allow RCC to deploy and consolidate its various mediation solutions into one convergent mediation platform that will enable it to offer advanced 2.5G and 3G related services in the future.

Minnesota-based Rural Cellular Corporation [RCC] provides wireless communication services to rural markets in 14 states in the Midwest, Northeast, South and Northwest portions of the United States.

FusionWorks will initially replace RCC's existing voice mediation solution for collection from Nortel's MSC's, with distribution to billing, fraud and two inter-company clearinghouse data feeds.
