Irish biotechnology firms could create 1,400 jobs in the next five years, according to the Tanaiste, Mary Harney.

Speaking at the launch of Enterprise Ireland’s biotechnology strategy, Ms Harney said she expects the number of indigenous companies in the sector to rise to 60 in the coming years.
