Scottish Radio Holdings has purchased the Longford Leader newspaper for £5.6m (€9.1m) after reaching a deal with the shareholders last Friday.

SRH, which also owns the Leitrim Observer, the Kilkenny People Group and Today FM, confirmed the move this morning.
