Enron inquiry widens
The White House has been dragged into the Enron inquiry.
Congress is ordering officials at the White House not to destroy documents related to conversations between the Bush administration and executives of the corporation, which is at the centre of the biggest bankruptcy in history.
The order also applies to several other federal agencies.
The collapse of Enron has rocked the US with thousands of workers seeing their life savings disappear.
At its height, the company claimed to be one of the biggest firms on earth.
