Altamedius to supply micro payment software to Germany's HVB Group

Altamedius (formerly Artic Web), a provider of payment intermediation technology, has announced a software supply agreement with German based bank HypoVereinsbank (HVB Group).

Under the agreement, Dublin company Altamedius will supply it modular payment intermediation platform to HVB Group, enabling the bank to launch a suite of next generation payment services over internet and mobile channels.

The HVB Group Payment Solution is a central strand of the bank's e-business initiative. HVB says that it chose Altamedius because of the strength of its e-payment software, particularly in the rapidly expanding area of micro payment for on-line digital content. Presently there are 19 million online users in Germany
