Supermarket chain Tesco took record sales over the internet in the run-up to Christmas as the consumer spending spree went online.

Supermarket chain Tesco took record sales over the internet in the run-up to Christmas as the consumer spending spree went online.

Over one million bottles of wine were delivered by Tesco.com to homes across the UK as well as 230,000 CDs and DVDs and 2.5 million nappies.
