The Dutch government has agreed to a total 62 million nfl in direct aid for Dutch airlines to cover losses during the period September 11-14 when American airspace was closed, the transport ministry said.

The Dutch government has agreed to a total 62 million nfl in direct aid for Dutch airlines to cover losses during the period September 11-14 when American airspace was closed, the transport ministry said.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines NV will receive €26.9m. Its charter unit Transavia will receive €380,000 o and its affiliate Martinair €1.124m.

The aid remains subject to European Commission approval, the ministry noted. The Dutch government expects to advance some of the aid to the airlines yet this year.
