IBM China/Hong Kong Ltd said it has won a $6.5m out-tasking contract to support the Hong Kong Monetary Authority's office automation operation and mission-critical server systems.

Under the contract, on-site IBM support staff will provide HKMA's over 400 employees with office automation services, such as helpdesk hotline, equipment training, office automation equipment maintenance and support including PCs, peripherals, network operating systems, shared databases, email services, remote access, communications and data centre operation.
