Meteor launches Meteor Mall

Mobile phone operator Meteor has introduced a new euro compliant web shop, powered by mzone kiosk, Network365's mobile shopping solution for merchants.

Opened in time for the annual Christmas spending spree, Meteor Mall is a virtual shopping mall where subscribers can buy phones and SIM securely on the web.

Meteor is one of the first mobile operators in Ireland to launch a webshop which is transacting in euro.

Meteor, Ireland's third mobile phone operator, launched in February 2001.

Network 365 has been chosen by mm02, formerly BT Wireless, to deliver mobile commerce services over 3G networks. It is participating in a 12 month trial of 3G services to residents on the Isle of Man in partnership with Manx Telecom, a fully owned subsidiary of mm02.
