Eircell signs contract with Altamedius

Dublin company Altamedius, formerly Artic Web, is to provide micro payment services to Eircell Vodafone's 1.6 million customer base.

These micro payment services will facilitate the purchase of small value goods and services by customers through the internet, via WEB, WAP, IVR and vending machines.

All transactions will be carried out in a secure and controlled environment and will allow users to purchase items such as cinema and concert tickets, CDs, books and games without the need for a credit or debit card.

Altamedius is a provider of next generation payment intermediation technology. It provides the business solution for management of secure commerce exchanges.

Altamedius is a privately held company. Lead investors are Vertex Management, a member of the Singapore Technologies Group, and Delta Partners.
