The Czech government has decided to buy 24 supersonic fighter jets from BAE Systems together with Saab in a deal worth up to £1bn.

The Czech government decided at its cabinet meeting to buy the Jas-39 Gripen supersonic fighter jets to replace its aging Soviet MiG-21 fighters.
