XIAM appoints new CEO and signs deal to target Hong Kong market

Irish wireless integrator, XIAM, has appointed Colm Healy as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Healy will take over form Robert Baker (former co-founder and CEO) who will remain on as a non-executive board member and will continue to be involved in the business in a consultative role.

Colm Healy was previously the Chief Operating Officer with XIAM, but will now be responsible for the strategic development of the company as it continues to grow rapidly. Robert Baker said of Colm Healy: "I am very confident that Colm will continue the success of the company to date. He has the skills, energy and ambition necessary for the next stage of the company’s growth".

Continuing with its growth, XIAM has signed an agreement with CSL, Hong Kong’s leading mobile phone operator, to be the exclusive distributor of XIAM’s Information Routing product suite throughout the country’s extensive market. This latest agreement will be of enormous benefit to the corporate base served by CSL.

The Information Router is a complete ‘out of the box’ solution that allows mobile phone users to access, update and respond to critical enterprise information held within the internal corporate networks. The Hong Kong market is reported to have over a 72% penetration level and the use of mobile data services is expected to grow significantly. This agreement brings to four the number of mobile operators distributing XIAM’s solutions.
