Post offices to merge with AIB

More than one thousand post offices around the country are to become agents for AIB in a new initiative announced today.

Rural customers will be able to lodge and withdraw cash from their accounts through post offices, meaning the number of AIB outlets will increase from 280 to 1,280 when the scheme gets underway next July.
