SmartForce appoints Dr von Prondzynski to board

E-Learning company SmartForce has announced the appointment of Ferdinand von Prondzynski to its Board Of Directors.

Dr von Prondzynski is currently the President of Dublin City University (DCU), which is known for its special focus on technology and science .

With teaching experience spanning more that 20 years, Dr von Prondzynski was Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Hull, and head of the School of Business Studies and a lecturer in Industrial Relations at Trinity College, Dublin.

He became President of DCU in 2000, and has initiated a major drive to commercialise the university.

He is an authority on employment law and industrial relations, on which subjects he has published a book - Employment Law in Ireland - as well as a number of works on European Community law.
