120 jobs to go at Mullingar factory

An engineering firm in Mullingar, Co Westmeath, has announced plans to lay off 120 workers in the coming months.

Foxteq said it will lay off 95 people at the end of December and a further 24 in the following two months.

Meanwhile, there are also fears that an additional 30 workers at the Tellabs firm in Shannon, Co Clare, could also be laid off.
