BT and mm02 now being separately traded on FTSE

The mobile phone group mmO2, which includes Digifone, has now formally demerged from British Telecom.

A week of conditional trade in mmO2 ended on Friday with the shares closing at 80p, up 15% in the week and better than expected.

At 80p the value of the company is £6.8bn. BT Group and mm02 will now both be part of the FTSE 100 index.
