online.ie closes €2.03m funding round

Digiserve Ltd, publisher of the online.ie and IrishAbroad.com online services, has announced a new funding package totalling £1.6m (€2.03m).

The participants in the funding round were Cross Atlantic Capital Partners, Crucible LLC and CSA Financial Ltd.

The latest round of funding, which should fund the company to profitability, will be used to launch a new range of services for audiences at home and abroad.

Digiserve has recently concluded exclusive partnership agreements with The Irish Post in the UK and the Irish Voice Newspaper in the US.

Online.ie was launched in March, 2000 and received initial funding of £5m from Crucible and Cross Atlantic.

Shortly after its launch it acquired IrishAbroad.com, a San Francisco-based Irish online service.
