Delta closes its Eur 90 m fund

The venture capital company DeltaPartners has closed its EUR 90 m fund named "Equity Fund II" by adding another €25m, compared to its initial closing in February.

Despite the bearish stock market giving especially start-up companies a hard time finding new funding, Delta Partners believe that there is still money available for good projects.

A survey by the finance group Ion Equity has unveiled that this year overall funding for Irish technology companies could reach the year 2000 level of €300m in consideration of investments reaching already €264m so far.

The amount raised will be used in various investments in the communication technologies, software and life sciences area.
