De Vere cuts staff as demand falls

Hotels group De Vere said today it will trim staff numbers to cope with a fall in demand for corporate and conference facilities.

Around 40 jobs, including a number of managerial positions, will be lost because of a slowdown in business since the US terrorist attacks.
