Nokia wins 3G order from Telia Mobile Finland
Nokia has been selected as the sole supplier for Telia Mobile Finland's 3G network.
The £37m deal follows collaboration between the two companies to develop GSM and GPRS.
Under the agreement, Nokia will supply 3G and radio infrastructure, ahead of the roll-out of 3G services in Finland.
The company will also work to ensure that the network remains competitive after roll-out.
Previous collaborations between Telia and Nokia include the supply of a GSM network to Telia Mobile Finland in 1997.
Director of Telia Mobile in Finland Vesa Mars said: "Nokia's advanced and cost-effective 3G network solution will help us offer our subscribers attractive and cutting-edge mobile Internet services and applications.
"We are happy to be starting Telia Finland's 3G rollout as a part of our Nordic frame agreement with Nokia."
