Jobs 'under threat ’ at BT Wireless

BT Wireless, the mobile phone division of British Telecom, is planning to shed hundreds of jobs when it demerges from its parent group later this year, according to reports today.

The group is said to be considering cutting up to 1,500 jobs through natural turnover and voluntary retirements once the demerger is completed, according to Sunday Business.
