The E-Island consortium bidding for Eircom's fixed-line business has refused to rule out raising its latest offer for the company.

The Denis O'Brien-led consortium has outlined the details of its cash up-front offer of €1.36 per share, currently nine cents ahead of the Valentia group's offer.
